Activate Beauty is committed to a barrier-free experience for clients, staff, and everyone who visits us online or in person.

Our commitment

We design our care and our website to be usable by people of all abilities. Our aim is to meet or exceed the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (O. Reg. 191/11), and to treat every person with the same dignity, independence, and consideration.

On the web

We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We build with the goal of clear structure, readable contrast, keyboard access, descriptive labels, and content that adapts to your device and settings — including a reduced-motion preference for anyone who finds movement distracting.

Ongoing efforts

Accessibility is an ongoing practice, not a one-time check. We review the site as it grows and work to improve areas such as:

• Alternative text for meaningful images
• Colour contrast across text and interface elements
• Keyboard navigation and visible focus states
• Clear labelling on forms and interactive controls
• Headings and structure that work well with assistive technology

Some content is provided by third-party tools — for example, online booking through JaneApp and embedded maps. Where a third-party feature falls short, we look for accessible alternatives and will help you complete the same task another way.

In the clinic

Our team is trained in accessible customer service. If you have an accommodation need for your visit — mobility, sensory, communication, or otherwise — please let us know when you book so we can prepare. We provide documents and information in alternate accessible formats on request, at no additional cost.
